FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost and are there package deals?
The initial consultation and treatment cost for acupuncture, Mayan abdominal massage, herbs, supplements and nutrition is $150.  Follow up visits are $100 for all of the above except Mayan Abdominal Massage return visits are $120. 

We also offer package deals* priced as follows: 

    -  5  treatments: $475   ($25 savings) 
    - 10 treatments: $900   ($100 savings)
    - 20 treatments: $1700 ($300 savings)


Herbal costs range from $10-$45 per week depending
on which herbs and whether they are administered as patents, granules or tinctures.   Supplements vary widely in cost depending on which ones we decide to use.  Contact us with any questions.

What type of supplements do we cary?

     We carry supplements for heart health, cholesterol, blood sugar, inflammation, joint & bone health, muscle & nerve health, brain health, weight loss, digestive support, mood stabilizing, immune system enhancement, thyroid support & general hormonal balance, and reproductive health.  For a complete guide of supplements and prices click here.

Does acupuncture hurt? 

    The needles used for acupuncture are hair-like in diameter and solid, not hollow like a hypodermic, so they do not cut.  You can expect sensations such as heaviness, tingling, warmth, movements, a dull ache and spreading.

How long do the treatments take?  

 The initial consultation will take around 1.5 hours.  Follow up visits take approximately an hour.

What can acupuncture and Chinese medicine treat?
    
    The World Health Organization (

Infections/Immune:
  
    Cold and flu, bronchitis, hepatitis, leukopenia, allergic rhinitis (hay fever) adverse reactions to chemotherapy and radiation.

Pain:

    Deafness, ringing of ears, ear aches, poor eyesight, dizziness, sinus infection, sore throat, hay fever.

Fertility and Reproduction - Men and Womens Health:

    Impotence, infertility, pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS), pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), vaginitis, irregular period or cramps, morning sickness, prostate disorders, induction of labor, breeched fetus, dysmenorrhea.

Skin:

    Eczema, acne, herpes, shingles.

Mental-Emotional:
    Anxiety depression, stress, insomnia.

Can Chinese medicine treat H1N1?
